Peaky Blinders Season 01 Episode 04


 Tommy legitimizes his business by obtaining a betting license.  Tommy hires Grace as his secretary, even though he doesn't trust her very much and is suspicious of her.  Jon calls the gang together to say he wants to marry Lizzy Stark, a local prostitute.  Tommy disapproves because he doesn't think Lizzie has given up her previous career.  His suspicions are confirmed when she agrees to ask for her services as a test.  Lees robs the Peaky Blinders' gambling den as revenge for the Peaky Blinders protecting Billy Kimber's bookies at the races.  Tommy decides to call a truce with the Lees so he can ally against Billy Kimber and marries John to the Lees' daughter Esme to seal the deal.  Ada arrives at the wedding but soon goes into labor.  Freddy comes to see the new baby but is arrested when he shows up.
