"The Lost Sister" marks the 15 installment of Stranger Things' second season and its seventh episode overall. On October 27, 2017, it made its debut.Eleven is drawn to a group of violent misfits and a vengeful girl with a troubled background by psychic visions.

Eleven describes to Becky Ives what she saw—more especially, the dark-skinned girl whom she kept seeing—in her mother's dreams. Looking through Ives' files on previous experimental kids, Eleven recognises the girl from a picture as little kidnapped English girl Kali Prasad. When she searches for her in the abyss, she is unable to locate her. Becky reveals to Eleven the room where she will be staying and that she finally has a place to call home. It is, Eleven acknowledges, her home. When Becky goes to tell Eleven that she saw an elderly Kali standing over a fire in the abyss, Eleven discovers that Becky is attempting to contact Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers over the phone.

Eleven, the man who had threatened her, Axel, young Dottie, defensive tactician Mick, and sensitive combatant Funshine are all introduced by her to her group. Kali shows her their database of identities, which includes every employee of the lab that they have tracked down and murdered as payback. She emphasises that in order for Eleven to recover and grow stronger, she must face the suffering the lab has caused her. She uses her talents to make Eleven pull a train car towards them, and she gives her encouragement by instructing her to think about what irritates her. She remembers Max Mayfield talking with Mike Wheeler, her argument with Hopper after he said her mother had passed away, and the other wrongs committed against her.
