Stranger Things Season 03 episode 4

 

The fourth episode of Stranger Things' third season and the show's twenty-first overall is titled "The Sauna Test." The launch date was July 4, 2019.The group reunites in response to a code red to take on an evil that seems eerily familiar. Nancy is urged to continue digging by Karen, and Robin discovers a helpful map.

Eleven considers her unsettling experiences and visions of Heather Holloway and Billy Hargrove while she brushes her teeth at Max Mayfield's residence. Eleven is perplexed by their actions, but Max reassures her that everything is well. As Max presents her with a Wonder Woman comic, a crazy Paramedics strap down Doris Driscoll as Jonathan Byers and Nancy Wheeler look on. As the ambulance passes by, she clings to her belief that she "has to go back" and frantically rushes for the Brimborn Steel Works. Tom and Janet Holloway wake up in the mill's basement, bound together. Billy and Heather ungag them. As Heather confides in her father, "there's no stopping it," Billy orders them to stay still. Now, they go as the Mind Flayer.

A very irate and perspiring Tom chastises Nancy and Jonathan at The Hawkins Post for defying him and supporting Driscoll, who turns out to be a paranoid schizophrenic. He fires them both, threatening to sue her family. When the children gather, Will Byers shares his latest visions of the Mind Flayer making a comeback. Will recalls the fragment of the thing that left him and speculates that Eleven may have imprisoned it in their world along with them, despite Eleven's insistence that she shut the gate. He understands that it would prefer a new host, and everyone decides to find out. When Hopper presses Kline for information regarding the attacker and threatens to reveal his corruptions, Kline reminds him that.

The children get ready to catch Billy. Will ignores Lucas's attempt to discuss the events of the previous day, and Mike, hoping to win Eleven back, tells her about Hopper's meddling in their relationship. Eleven mentions something Mike said when she shocked him by snooping on him in the abyss and wonders whether Hopper could be right that they are spending too much time together. In the hopes that Billy is not the host, Max keeps an eye on him. Her party descends from the roof to join Erica as she sneaks through Starcourt's ducts and opens the Lynx Transportation entrance.

Eleven stuns Billy by tossing him against the wall after Mike uses his voice and a CPR dummy to get him to the sauna. The children use a pipe and chain to lock the door. Billy and Max make eye contact for a brief while during which he begs her in silence. Max then gives the command for the gang to turn on the sauna, which they do. After breaking into Driscoll's hospital room covertly, Nancy notices something in her medical chart. It is implied that Driscoll's breathing becomes laboured and her heart rate increases abruptly because to Billy's situation. From the designated boxes, the Starcourt team takes out a green liquid in a canister.
