Stranger Things Season 04 episode 5

 

"The Nina Project" is the fifth episode of Stranger Things' fourth season and the show's thirty-first overall. First showing was on May 27, 2022.El is brought to Nevada by Owens, where she is forced to face her history as the Hawkins children search a dilapidated property for hints. Vecna claims yet another casualty.

Will and Jonathan Byers, Mike Wheeler, and Harmon try to heal Harmon's gunshot wound after they manage to get away from Jack Sullivan's men. Before passing away, he utters the word "Nina" and insists that they must alert Sam Owens of Eleven's danger. When Will sees that a car is pursuing them, he yells at Argyle to turn off the main road. After searching the Byers home with his men, Jack Sullivan discovers Eleven's note for Mike and gives the injured Wallace the order to reveal her whereabouts. Owens and Eleven are dropped off at a door in the midst of a desert twelve hours earlier, and it turns out that this door leads to an underground missile silo intended to house "NINA," a massive machine. 

As Argyle laments the circumstances and the California gang bury Harmon's remains in a junkyard, Jonathan advises him to go smoke. Will agrees that it can be difficult to "say how you really feel," asking questions like "because what if they don't like the truth?" when Mike regrets how he handled his and Eleven's dispute. When Mike discovers that Argyle is trying to use Harmon's pen to create a headstone—a phone number—he realises that it is ineffective because it is a container. Hopper is unresponsive as Antonov tries to get him to assist him in bribing a guard while Russian guards are clearing human remains from the arena. Hopper describes his Vietnam experiences combining vats of Agent Orange.

Yuri, who has Joyce and Murray Bauman tethered in his plane, says he is selling them out to support his mother. When Bauman keeps asking to use the loo during the flight, Joyce notices that Yuri can't hear them above the noise of the engine. She kicks a jar box full of peanut butter till it breaks, and Bauman uses his foot to cut their bonds with a shard of the broken jar. Despite Eleven's persistent efforts to get away, they always find themselves back in the Rainbow Room with the orderly. Over the intercom, Brenner speaks with her and explains that the opera of the same name, which centres on a lady whose lover is slain and who is so traumatised by the event that.

Eleven recalls that Brenner uses a contraption that illuminates when energy is applied to test Two's psychic talents. Eleven tries next, but she is unsuccessful despite her best attempts, and she finds her hands are stained with blood. It's the day of the massacre; everyone in the room disappears, and she strolls down the hallway. Within NINA, Eleven experiences a seizure in the real world. When Yuri sees a liberated Joyce attempting to cut Bauman's rope, Bauman fights Joyce and frees his hands while Joyce retrieves his revolver. When Bauman knocks him unconscious, the plane crashes in the woods since no one is left to fly it. After gathering again, the Hawkins gang turns down their flashlights after determining that the lights indicate Vecna's presence.
