Stranger Things Season 04 episode 6

 

Stranger Things' sixth episode of the fourth season, "The Dive," is the show's thirty-first overall. First showing was on May 27, 2022.A perilous rescue operation begins behind the Iron Curtain. The gang from California asks a hacker for assistance. Steve wins it all for the group.

When Jason Carver pulls Patrick McKinney's mutilated body out of the river, Hawkins police arrive on the scene. When Phil Callahan and Calvin Powell interrogate him, pointing out that Eddie Munson could not have killed Patrick, Jason maintains that he is really a vessel for Satan, endowing him with wicked abilities. Something invisible snatches a fish from the depths of Lover's Lake and pulls it downward. Jack Sullivan's men torture Wallace in a government facility. Wallace says he doesn't know where Eleven is, but Sullivan asks him again. Sullivan is adamant that Martin Brenner is assisting Vecna in her murders and that Eleven is to blame. Wallace reiterates that Sullivan has him imprisoned since he has no idea where she is.

Trapped in the Russian forests, Joyce Byers and Murray Bauman attempt to persuade Yuri Ismaylov—who is chained to a tree—to assist them. At first, he says no unless paid, but when they threaten to leave, he gives in and directs them to his safe haven. Joyce follows him there, and they equip themselves. Recalling his intention to hand them over to the warden of Kamchatka, Bauman poses as both Yuri and himself to enable them to sneak in. A sumptuous feast is brought to Jim Hopper, Dmitri Antonov, and the other inmates. Only Hopper declines to take part. Observing other inmates, one inmate remarks that the guards are allowing them to rebuild their strength so they can battle whatever resides next to the arena.

When Nancy examines Eddie's shattered watch, she discovers that Patrick's death corresponds with the Creel house's lights going out, indicating that Vecna must launch an attack from the attic. Dustin discovers that his compass is off and he and Lucas realise that there must be a gate nearby while the group muses over how they may get to the Upside Down to murder him. Everyone in the group decides to use Dustin's compass. Brenner sets up a test/game for the kids where two of them stand in opposite circles and attempt to use their psychic powers to topple each other. Eleven is left standing as Bully Two comfortably wins the competition. Eleven takes the orderly's suggestion and summons her mother's memory throughout the altercation.

The teenagers discover they are directly above the gate when Dustin's compass goes crazy. With the most swimming experience, Steve proposes to find it. Robin smirks as he pulls off his shirt and realises Nancy is observing him. When Steve dives to the lake's bottom, he discovers multiple fish bones and spots a red light in the distance. The younger teens are forced to hide when the police show up and take note of the situation. When Steve touches the sealed-up gate, a tendril pushes up from the opposite side. The younger youths divert the attention of the cops as he comes to the surface and tells his buddies that he has located the gate.
